Interactive In-Person Career Events & Seminars

April 21

Calibrating Your Career Search
Kathy Morris of Under Advisement, Ltd., the featured legal career counselor of the CBA, will provide stage-specific job search advice for new, mid-level, and seasoned lawyers in one-hour group sessions. Come hear about the look and content of a résumé and cover letter that befit your place in the profession; ways to harness your technological skills (or generational lack thereof) to maximize your search; how to define, access, and expand your network at your stage along the spectrum; and what is expected of you and your contemporaries at interviews that result in offers.

Oft-asked questions also will be addressed, such as: Should you respond to an ad for a job for which you are under or overqualified? How do you get experience, as a junior lawyer, in order to be experienced enough for a job you want? How should you respond to questions about your life-stage...and inquiries about why you would be looking for a new job at this particular point in your career?
