YLS Repack Night at
Spend an evening serving the community while getting to know
other young lawyers! The YLS needs volunteers to work at the Greater
Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from
6:00-8:45 p.m. Pizza and soda will be served. Volunteers will work on
the repacking line inspecting, cleaning, and sorting donated products
for distribution to soup kitchens, pantries, and homeless shelters.
Volunteers must wear long pants, sleeved shirts and closed shoes with
nonskid soles. The GCFD is located on the Southwest side of Chicago (not
far from Midway Airport). For more information or to volunteer, please

Lunch with a Judge-October 16
You're invited to have lunch with Hon. Larry
Axelrood, Circuit Court of Cook County. The judge will give
thoughts on his experience before becoming a judge and offer helpful
tips on what young lawyers should know. You must be a CBA member
or law student member to attend and you must register in advance of the

8 0'Clock Call with the Judges - October 17
Members are invited to attend the Association's 8 O'Clock Call
with the Judges on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 8:00 a.m., at the CBA.
Judges from Cook County's Chancery Division will participate in a
moderated question and answer session with the Hon. Thomas Hogan, Law
Division, Circuit Court of Cook County. Panelists from the Chancery
Division will include: Hon. Diane J. Larsen, Hon. Thomas R. Allen,
Chancery Division, and Hon. Franklin Ulyses
