YLS Events

The Young Lawyers Section of The Chicago Bar Association hosts many events and programs throughout the bar year designed to provide useful and relevant information along with networking opportunities for the new attorney. Information on upcoming events and opportunities are detailed below.

Donate Men’s and Women’s Gently-Used Suits for New YLS Project
The Young Lawyers Section is launching a new project aimed at helping high school seniors get ready to interview for their first jobs. Suits for Success will provide approximately 75 male and 75 female students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School with the skills and ascetics needed to excel during an interview. Elements of the project include providing the students with donated suits, personal resume tips, and conducting mock interviews.

Donations of gently-used suits (clean and in dry cleaning bags) can be dropped in the lobby of the Chicago Bar Building, 321 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago through October 30.

Members interested in helping with the resume and interview portions of the project, should send an email to Helena Trachtenberg. General questions regarding donations should be directed to the YLS.

Join the CBF Young Professionals Board of The Chicago Bar Foundation and CBA Young Lawyers Section at the 7th annual Casino Legale event on September 26 from 7-11 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E Washington).
