The Young Lawyers Section of The Chicago Bar Association hosts many events and programs throughout the bar year designed to provide useful and relevant information along with networking opportunities for the new attorney. Information on upcoming events and opportunities are detailed below.


Assist Low Income LGBT Seniors with Advance Directive Documents – September 23 
The Serving Our Seniors Committee invites members to a volunteer event to assist low income LGBT seniors in drafting advance directive documents. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 12:00-2:30pm at the Center of Addison (808 W. Addison, Chicago, IL). No experience is necessary. YLS Lunch with a Judge – September 26 (Members Only)
The YLS Lunch with a Judge series strives to provide young lawyers with the unique opportunity to hear from a member of the bench in an intimate setting. On September 26, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Patricia O'Brien Sheahan, will lead a conversation and answer member questions about her career prior to and since being elected to the bench. YLS Meet the Committees Night - September 28
Come out and meet the Young Lawyers Section’s practice and specialty committees - everything from Bankruptcy to Estate Planning to Women in the Law - on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the CBA.
