Documents are the lifeblood of the practice of law, but managing information has become increasingly difficult as lawyers have become increasingly mobile and legal work is handled from multiple devices. The tools and systems we're using to manage information in our firms have lagged behind in terms of usability, reliability and functionality and that has undermined our efficiency, the quality of our work and created unnecessary liabilities for our firms.

How did we get here and what can you do about it? This session will begin with a look at the assumptions behind the document management systems in our firms that are holding back our individual practices and our law firms. Most importantly, it will address what steps lawyers can take right now to rethink their solutions. And, you will learn how a group of senior lawyers developed a new system based on the assumptions behind Google and Bing that is helping firms successfully meet today's information management challenges.
