TOPIC: 'Tis the Season: Prepaid Cards, Stored Value Cards, & Gift Cards
The prepaid card industry continues to grow at an enormous rate. It is now the fastest growing industry within the payments sector. This has led to a variety of legal issues, including rules that have been developed to protect consumers alongside rules that deal with fraud and money laundering. This presentation will highlight some of the significant matters within these areas.
SPEAKER: Scott R. Fryzel, a partner at Chapman and Cutler, will discuss the federal and state laws that are shaping the evolution of the prepaid industry and suggest where the industry is headed, including how the CFPB will factor into things.
