TOPIC: An Overview of the FOIA: What State Government Agencies Need to Know
SPEAKERr: Matt Rogina has been an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General's Public Access Bureau since May 2010. In addition to authoring nonbinding and binding opinions on the Freedom of Information Act and Open Meetings Act, he has conducted presentations on FOIA and OMA for numerous civic groups, public bodies, and not for profit organizations around the State. He is a 2001 graduate of Loyola University Chicago and a 2006 graduate of the John Marshall Law School. Prior to working at the OAG, he was an Assistant State's Attorney with the Office of the Kane County State's Attorney and judicial clerk with the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit.
