Panelists will discuss their varied career paths in and related to intellectual property law. The discussion will touch on various career paths including, in-house positions, large law firm, boutique, and solo practices; improving resumes; interview tactics; transitioning from law student to associate; networking; practical advice for day-to-day practice and dealing with employers, colleagues and staff; interim experience in a difficult economy; and how to have a beneficial experience in law school. The format will be a Q&A panel presentation featuring attorneys from a variety of practice settings and disciplines.

Registration / Cancellation Policy

In Person: Registrations for attending programs in-person must be received 3 hours prior to the start of the program or a $10 on-site registration fee will apply. All cancellations for in-person attendance must be received in writing 24-hours prior to the seminar to receive a refund (fax 312-554-2054 or email CLEAdvantage members who do not cancel in-person registration in writing 24-hours prior to the seminar will be subject to a $15 cancellation fee.

Webcast: Registrations for attending a program via live webcast must be completed online prior to the publicized start time of the webcast. Persons registering for webcasts can view webcasts as live or archived events. Cancellations for webcast registrations from non-CLE Advantage members must be received in writing 24-hours prior to the seminar to receive a refund (fax 312-554-2054 or email

Information on Seminar Materials

Materials for all seminars will be available to download or print under the CLE tab. You must be registered for the seminar and logged into the website to access the materials. Hard copies of materials will be available at seminars if they are pre-ordered at an additional cost of $25 per seminar. (CLE Advantage members are required to pay this fee to receive hard copies of seminar materials.)
