Mediation Ethics for Mediators and Advocates
Mary Patricia Benz is a court certified mediator in the Circuit Court of Cook County Law and Chancery Divisions. She serves as a mediator in the Cook County Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program in the Cook County Law Division, and in Will County. Ms. Benz is a member of the executive committee of the Association of Attorney-Mediators, Illinois Chapter. She is currently serving as an arbitrator on the commercial roster for the American Arbitration Association, and is assigned to numerous cases. Recently, Ms. Benz was named Chair of the Ethics Comittee in the new DePaul University Center for Dispute Resolution/Association of Attorney-Mediators mediation program in Cook County. Ms. Benz also offers mediation and arbitration of discovery disputes in litigation and is recognized as an Illinois SuperLawyer.
