Issues Surrounding the Implementation of the Great Lakes Compact
Join us for a presentation by the Council of Great Lakes Governors Deputy Director Peter Johnson regarding the implementation of the Great Lakes Compact, the interstate agreement passed in 2008 that sets minimum requirements for water use across the Great Lakes Basin. Mr. Peter Johnson has worked at the Council of Great Lakes Governors since 1998. Prior to joining the Council, Mr. Johnson worked at Trudy Nichol & Associates, a grassroots and fundraising consulting firm, and taught law and business at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies located in Canton, China. Mr. Johnson previously practiced commercial litigation with Bischoff, Maurides & Swabowski, Ltd. for three and a half years, appearing in both Federal and State courts throughout the Chicago metropolitan region on a wide variety of issues ranging from Superfund litigation to antitrust defense.
