Springfield Excursion

Hop the Train to Springfield with the Young Lawyers Section!

The Young Lawyers Section is set to explore Springfield, Illinois on Tuesday, March 25* to Wednesday, March 26, 2014. The group will depart by train from Chicago Union Station on Tuesday (or make your own arrangements to drive/carpool) to explore Springfield, learn more about Illinois' legislative process, how to lobby and make new connections.  Law students and attorneys of all experience levels are welcome.

Governor Quinn has pushed back the delivery of his 2014 budget address to March 26. It will be an exciting day in Springfield! Participants will have a front row seat to see what it's like to be a legislator or lobbyist in Springfield.

*If you are interested in gaining some hands-on lobbying experience, you are welcome to join CBA and CBF staff members in Springfield during the afternoon of Tuesday, March 25.  We will be meeting with legislators to discuss some of the CBA priority legislative issues.  For more information, please contact Jessica Bednarz at (312)554-4952.
