Jury Trials in a Remote World - W

As jury trials slowly return to Chicago, the process is bound to undergo a myriad of changes in order to keep all participants safe in the wake of the pandemic. In this seminar, we’ll have two experienced litigators on hand to provide anecdotes about their experiences surrounding remote proceedings to date, as well as to predict what the landscape of jury trials might look like in the near future. We’ll also be joined by the founder of JurorSearch, a software platform designed to help streamline the jury selection process. Registrants will see a short demo of the platform in order to understand how products like this might become crucial to the process in a world gone remote.

Speakers:
Dan Johnson,
founder of JurorSearch. Dan is a co-founder of JurorSearch with the Reverend Saeed Richardson. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School but never had the chance to litigate a jury trial. He is the father of four and serves on the Wilmette Library Board.
Matthew A. Passen, partner with Passen & Powell. Matt represents plaintiffs in personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death matters. He is a member of the Society of Trial Lawyers, past-member of the CBA Board of Managers, and currently serves as Chair of the Trial Practice Committee.
