Hands On: Basic Formatting in Microsoft Word 2016

Microsoft Word 2016 has sophisticated formatting tools to help you create polished, well-formatted versions of the documents you use regularly (engagement letters, retainers, non-engagement letters, etc.). In this class, we’ll explore why utilizing these formatting tools creates stronger documents than doing things manually might. We will try our hand at creating some of these forms, so you have strong and secure templates to use going forward instead of recycling old forms and risking slip-ups with potentially delicate client information. NOTE: This class is ideal for Office 2016 users, but other version users are still welcome. Word for Mac users are welcome as well!

Speaker: Anne Haag is a Practice Management Advisor at the Chicago Bar Association. Anne worked as a patent paralegal at a Chicago IP firm before arriving at the CBA in 2017 as the Law Practice Management and Technology department’s trainer/coordinator. Why formatting tools help you to create stronger documents
