Real Talk: Diverse Voices in the Legal Profession - W

The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism when advocating for required MCLE credit for diversity/inclusion made this point: "Diversity is of central concern for the legal profession. Our population is getting increasingly diverse. Forty years from now, the United States will not have a single ethnic majority. This transforming population means that lawyers are going to represent increasingly diverse clients. It should therefore be a priority that our legal profession reflect the diversity of our client base." Come hear stories from today's new diverse lawyers, hear what attracted them to the law and how the Chicago legal community can strive for better inclusion.
