Tech Workshop: Privacy Add-Ons for Google Chrome

Online privacy has become a pressing issue for many lawyers in light of recent scandals involving how companies use your data. In this session, we’ll talk about the ever-shifting landscape of online privacy, and discuss several adds on you can install to help maintain your privacy while browsing the web using Google Chrome. 

Speaker: Anne Haag is a Practice Management Advisor at the Chicago Bar Association. Anne worked as a patent paralegal at a Chicago IP firm before arriving at the CBA in 2017 as the Law Practice Management and Technology department’s trainer/coordinator. She is also a certified crisis counselor and volunteers as a patient advocate in the ER.

In this session, we will:
Discuss the present landscape of online privacy
Suggest add-ons to help protect your privacy while using Google Chrome
Examine and learn how to install several of these free add-ons 

This will be a hands on session. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and to follow along with the instructor. Limit 10 per session.
There are loaner laptops with Wi-Fi available. Limit 8 per session. You must reserve a loaner laptop at registration.
