2023 CBA's Majestic Masquerade Sponsorship


Thank you for your interest in sponsoring The Chicago Bar Association's annual fundraiser! This year, the YLS will host a "Majestic Masquerade" ball. The event will include music, dancing, and a silent auction.
 
This year’s event will benefit The Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers in the Classroom program. Lawyers in the Classroom ("LIC"), now under the auspices of the Chicago Bar Association's 501c3 since 2019, has existed for over 30 years. Volunteer attorneys are placed in 2nd-8th grade social studies and literature classrooms to teach students about the U.S. Constitution, their constitutional rights, our legal system, and their responsibilities under the law, to help them effectively engage in civil discourse. Attorney volunteers partner with teachers to provide students with grade-level lessons and knowledge based on real-life experiences, help them develop their critical thinking skills, and offer young people an opportunity to interact with a variety of positive adult role models. Click here to watch Lawyers in the Classroom director Tiffani Watson speak with attorney Daniel Cotter about why he has been a LIC volunteer since 2003. CBA’s Majestic Masquerade will be marketed to all 17,000 members of The Chicago Bar Association as well as Chicago’s general legal community, including over 42,000 attorneys practicing in Cook County.  The CBA’s social media platforms have over 1700 followers, and our video posts draw an average of 2500 unique users. We anticipate many members of Chicago’s legal community will showcase their talents to support Lawyers in the Classroom through this event, and will tune in to vote! This is the YLS’s biggest event of the year – you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Please note that 100% of your contribution will benefit Lawyers in the Classroom, a program under the auspices of the CBA’s 501(c)(3) organization, “CBA Media and Civic Education, Inc.”  Sponsorship contributions are donations to the Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers In the Classroom Program, and are tax deductible.
