Register for attorney volunteer training on September 9 or 16, 2022!

For over 30 years, the  Lawyers in the Classroom (LIC) program has a been an effective vehicle for imparting civic education lessons to elementary school students across Chicago. LIC attorney and law student volunteers are placed in 2nd-8th grade social science/social studies and literature classrooms to teach students their constitutional rights and encourage them to be more civically engaged.

As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, LIC will be hosting two Attorney Information & Training Sessions. These sessions, created to prepare attorneys for their classroom assignments, will focus on classroom standards, curriculum, collaboration with teacher partners, useful teaching strategies and how the program will be administered this school year.
