Each year, the CBA reviews and comments on non-sponsored legislation
introduced in the Illinois General Assembly. In addition, the
Association, through its practice committees, sponsors new and
amendatory legislation. The CBA's Legislative Counsel guides the
Association's legislative program and works closely with the legislative
liaisons for each of the Association's Practice Committees. The CBA
Legislative Committee reviews and analyzes over 1000 bills during each
session of the Illinois General Assembly and works closely with the
Board of Managers in preparing the CBA's Legislative Program.
